CAS(E) #42

I had a look at a few of the challenges out there on blog land and really liked the look of a few of the challenges, so I have combined 3 to come up with this card.

CAS(E) this sketch was the inspiration for this layout.  CTS_Sketch_42

I chose the colors from the Cas-ual Fridays challenge.cfc112

and lastly I used WASHI TAPE from the Less is more challenge #134 - I don’t have much washi tape, but the aqua color worked perfectly for the colour scheme.

I coloured the image with copics, fussy cut it out and put pop dots behind it to pop it off the page. I put glossy accents on the balloon, her eyes and the bow.  I also used a little bit of aqua string for her balloon string.  Hope you enjoy!!

Whispy – Saturated Canary

So, this image comes from a Saturated Canary digi stamp – I adore these images!!

I coloured her with copics, added a bit of icicle stickles to her skirt and wings and some gold stickles for the bells.  I even added some stickles to the bow to give it an extra sparkle.

Copic colours I used were:

Hair: E29, E25, E35, E31 and E50

clothes: BV04, BV02, BV00, RV25, RV23, RV21, R24, R22 and R20

wings were BG10 and stickles

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - anything goes

Saturated Canary - winged things – this image called Whispy caught my eye…

Color Me Creative - anything goes as long as you colour.

And for my layout inspiration I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches - my image is a little big, but hopefully you can still see the sketch inspiration in my card.

Sketch 100

Haley & Harley

It’s been a while since I’ve put anything on my blog. I’ve been on holidays in Australia with my family.  It was so great to get home and visit with my Mum and Dad, sister and brothers and my many many nieces and nephews.  Now I am back home and the kids have just started back at school so I am getting back into my crafting and LOVING IT!!

I love Saturated Canary images.  They are so much fun, fabulous characters, so much hair and great clothes.  I have recently started on my copic collection and have been doing some courses by Suzanne Dean at the Colour me Creative classroom.  I have been learning a lot from these courses and having fun trying to colour in some images.  This image is called Haley & Harley, it is just adorable with the little pig in the tutu. I put some glossy accents on the flowers and bow and icicle stickles on the tutus.

The copic colours I used were:

Hair: E29, E25, E35, E31, E50

Clothes: BG78, BG75, BG72 and BG10

Pig: E00, E000, R20

Flowers and leaves: R29, R24, R20 and YG17, YG13 and YG11

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Marker Pop - the challenge is the blues, so I’ve used blue colours for my tutu and in the papers…

Color me creative - which is anything goes as long as you colour….

The Cutie Pie challenge - anything goes as long as it’s cute and what could be cuter than a pig in a tutu??

And for my layout inspiration I used the sketch at feeling sketchy, with the optional extra of flowers (in the picture and paper).  I love having a sketch to use for inspiration as it ensures I’m not doing the same thing over and over again.  This is the sketch – my image was quite big, but hopefully you can see the sketch in my card!!#67
