Little Creature

lm194_1When I first saw this stamp set from My Favorite Things (Witch way is the candy?), I fell in love with this bat and had to get it because this bat is the cutest bat I have ever seen!!  I have been using some of the other images from this great set and I used the witch for a shaker card. So fun.

For this card I stamped the bat and colored him with my C9, C7, C5 and C3 copics.  I then cut out a mask for the bat and a circle mask and inked up the night sky with distress inks of tumbled glass, salty ocean, dusty concord and black soot.  I used my copic opaque white (a paint like substance, not a marker) to add the white dots.  I find my white pens just do not work for me.  I have tried and watched videos, but I can’t get it to work – maybe I got a dud, but this opaque white doesn’t fail.  I love it!!

Once I took off the masks, I was left with this lovely circle of blues.  It is a one layer card. All I did was add glossy accents to the eyes for a bit of shine.   I think this is a better card for the challenge over at Less is More, which is Little creatures.  I had a card I entered, which was a pretty clean and simple background, but maybe not CAS enough ;)  Anyway, I love how this card turned out. It’s so cute!!  Here’s a close up of the bat…lm194_2I though I’d also enter this in the following challenges:

Pumpkin Spice Challenge 88 – which is Harvest or Halloween

Sweet Stampin’ Challenge – which is Halloween

Thanks for stopping by :)
