You bring “colour” into my life…

fs81_1The sketch at feeling sketchy is pretty challenging this week.  I was not really sure what to do with it, until I saw my latest card kit stamps from Simon Says Stamp.  I thought these crayons would go really well with the sketch below.  They also work perfectly with the challenge at Paula Holifield crafts which is “Are we there yet?”.  I must say, it’s a lot easier to keep the kids occupied in the car now, with all the iPads, leap pads, iPods etc, the kids can play games or even watch a movie, but sometimes my daughter just loves to color with her crayons.  She has her little lap table, her crayons and generally some little pet shop coloring pages, and she loves it!!  Yey, for going back to basics I say….66924102bI stamped the crayon images and masked as I went, then colored all the crayons in with my copic markers.  I love how the stamp set has two different “color/colour” sentiments. Even though I’ve been living in the US for 8 years, I still try and spell color with a “u”, but my spell check automatically corrects it!!  I just had to use my “Aussie” version of the spelling…

I got the idea of coloring in lots of crayons from Laura Fadora’s Blog here – I LOVE her work, but used the sketch above.  On the inside of the card I stamped the smiley sun (another stamp from the kit) – love it!!  I have linked this to the March 2014 card kit gallery as well…fs81_2

Thanks for checking out my creations.

    Awesome Card!
And I’ve been in the US for 11 years and still spell a lot of words with a U – it’s hard to get over the things you were taught.
